EXPERIENCE vs KNOWLEDGE

pic (9)

I will teach my daughter to put knowledge in a little higher priority than experience, because:

– firstly, “chances” or opportunities” are not that rare in this modern age. There is no such thing as a crying need for a young person to desperately seek for “a life time experience”, as those so called “experience” will appear again, probably in a much sooner time than we think.

– secondly, the way a person perceive and react to an incident, which would then create an “experience” for her/him, will definitely be much more different (BETTER, I reckon) when she/he has knowledge, comparing to that of the ones who don’t.

Roughly speaking, when you try to have as many “experiences” as possible without a corresponding amount of knowledge about the thing you are doing, you are just wasting your time.

===========
So an individual should be more of a well-informed one when facing any kind of experience in her/his lifetime,
rather than a blind one and making reckless or impulsive decisions.
